C3I Technology and Human Factors
Research in the area of C3I Technology and Human Factors encompasses robust radio communications, positioning and navigation, robust timing, advanced analysis and decision-support tools, and approaches to integrating people, technology and organisation into well-functioning command-and-control systems.

The work is carried out through literature reviews, theoretical modelling and analysis, experiments, simulations, field trials, and action research.
This research area provides knowledge and expert competence on technologies, tools, and methods, and on how they are used to support command and control within Sweden’s total defence.
Much of the work is conducted in close cooperation with our clients.
The main clients are the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), and civil-defence actors such as the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), the Swedish Police Authority and the Swedish Security Service.
