Processing of personal data when registering for courses

FOI is the personal data controller for the personal data that is processed in connection with registering for courses, training and conferences.

Personal data, such as the name and contact details of participants, is processed in order to administer the registrations and follow up on FOI’s courses. The legal basis for processing personal data for administrative purposes is to fulfil the contract entered into when you registered. The legal basis for processing in order to follow-up on the course is the fulfilment of a task carried out in the public interest.

When individuals enter FOI’s premises, the authority processes their social security numbers in order to reliably identify them. The legal basis for this processing is that it is a legal obligation.

FOI saves your personal information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the intended purposes of the data processing or for as long as required by law or other regulatory framework.
