Abstract
The report describes activities performed and presented at conferences and in articles within the project "Stationary/Temporary Structural Protection" during the year 1999. In chpt. 1 the subprojects are defined and recommendations for future developments given. In chpt. 2 results from the subproject "Ground Wave Propagation" are concluded with the report by P Balazs. The research was based on measurements of ground response to detonating bombs below the ground and aimed at verifying analytical models according to Drake-Little. In chpt.3 an ongoing test series involving quasi static and rapid transient loading of reinforced beams made of standard and high performance concrete with and without steel fibres is treated. In chpt. 4 numerical simulation of the loading from air pressure waves starting from the explosive charge is described. The results are compared to the results from corresponding tests on brick walls made earlier. In chpt. 5 an ongoing involvement in the theory of material modelling of concrete and other brittle materials is described. In the subproject assessment and implementation of material models for concrete in LS-DYNA and in AUTODYN. Part of the subproject "Material Modelling". In chpt. 6 ballistic tests in the velocity range 1400-1600 m/s are reported. Part of the subproject "Experiment". In chpt. 7 quasi static and transient loading of concrete beams in full scale are described. The test series contained 8 beams and the transient loading consisted of a 700-kg drop weight striking the middle of the beams with a velocity of 7 m/s. Part of the subproject "Experiment". In chpt. 8 results from numerical simulations of penetration and perforation of concrete targets based on the RHT-model and ballistic tests in the velocity range of 1400 - 1600 m/s. Furthermore corresponding numerical simulations of the concrete beams loaded quasi static and with drop weight are presented. Part of the subproject "Structural modelling". In chpt. 9 procedures for testing mechanical properties in materials necessary for numerical modelling materials. Part of the subprojects "Material Modelling " and "Experiment".
