Abstract

ffatrans predicts regions of transition on 2D and 2.5D aerofoil sections using boundary layer and stability analysis. It uses RANS solutions from the Edge solver as a start point. Transition is ramped over a distance computed using a transition length model. An intermittency function is used to model the growth of turbulence.
