Radar cross section measurement of Eikon

Radar cross section measurements have been performed on the generic UAV model Eikon. The measurements were performed at the large anechoic chamber (X-band), located at FOI Linköping, and at FOI´s outdoor rang "Lilla Gåra" (W-band). The results indicate that the X-band data is very similar to free space data and can therefore be used as reference data in the comparison to calculated free space data. The data obtained at W-band shows that the background gives significant contribution to the total radar cross-section of Eikon. Thus, the W-band data will be of limited use as reference data.
