Abstract
Due to Russia´s interruption of natural gas supply to Ukraine and parts of Europe during the winter of 2005-2006, this base data report presents key findings on Russia and its crude oil and natural gas. The report can also be seen as a summary of Putin´s energy policy at large. It is both aimed at those interested in Russia and in energy policy per se. Presented conclusions have been derived from three reports on Russia´s energy policy and reliability as energy supplier by Robert L. Larsson at FOI´s Division for Defence Analysis, two of which are to be published during the spring of 2006.
