Abstract
This report presents an analysis of the organisations and functions that would be affected by weather and climate change-rekated events that would have an impact on health and healthcare. A number of events and their health-related impact have been investigated. The events were chosen as they are becoming increasingly common as a consequence of climate change. Based on the analysis of such events a typical chain of consequences has been outlined and the organisations and functions affected ascertained. An analysis of the preparations made by these varaious organisations in terms of what types of planning has also been performed along with what actions would be taken if specific events were to actually occur. The findings were then discussed with a number of organisations in the Västerbotten region of Sweden. The report presents these findings in a table (Table 1) that could prove of advantage when analysing other types of climate event and the consequences associated with these, elsewhere.
