This report is published within the FOI project "Future demands in Defensive Aid Suit", research area Electronic Warfare. The objective of the report is to focus on some ideas and reflections of how the need for research in electronic warfare linked to the long term progresses in technology (approx 2030) can be taken care of. The report focuses on trends that might be of interest. A section of the report discusses library for future Defensive Aid Suit (DAS) and give a proposal for further research. Can the design and structure of a library be made general whatever type of sensor or warning system? What are the possibilities and what are the limitations? To begin with these are some basic tasks that must be studied. In the study of interesting progress in technology, good contacts with universities are essential, especially in the area of electro -optics, laser, micro wave but also disciplines that are close such as computer science. Writing and publishing research articles open up for interaction and cooperation with the scientifically society. However this requires that FOI has a broad scientifically competence in combination with focusing ideas and minds towards the Swedish armed Forces and there objectives. Hopefully, this report can contribute to the future research not only in Electronic Warfare but also in other closely related research areas.
