Abstract

The report describes the simulation model AntCmp (Antenna Compare) and its use. AntCmp is a model to compare an airborne radar jamming system equipped with conventional horn antennas, versus one equipped with phased array antennas. A total of 6 horn antennas and 10 antenna arrays can be set, positioned and oriented freely on the fuselage of the aircraft. A scenario can be created using three ground threats and an airborne threat. The jam to signal ratio (J/S) at each threat is calculated as the model executes. To steer the flying platform, mathematical or table-based flight paths can be used, but the user can also fly in the scenario using a joystick. In a technical assessment mode a spherical coverage graph of the J/S ratio is presented for the current antenna configuration.
