Abstract

The report presents the damage effects caused by different types of fireworks, rockets and star/thunder bombs, on pig legs (including bones). Firework rocket trials performed, with net explosive weight above and below 75 grams, showed damage effects on pig legs, where penetration of pig skin and damage in underlying tissue was observed. Trials performed with a star/thunder bomb, 49 mm in diameter and at a 50 cm standoff distance, showed damage effect on pig legs, with penetration of pig skin and underlying tissue damage.
