Abstract

Intersystem interference is the problem that arise when other radio signals and unintentional electromagnetic interference adversely affect the reception of a communication system. Intersystem interference leads to a deterioration of the communication system performance and may affect the overall abilities of the military forces. The risk for intersystem interference increases with the ongoing electrification in combination with an increasingly connected society. The following report summarizes parts of the work carried out during the year within FOI's intersystem interference project. The work consists of several different parts, but all aim to deal with the concerns that arise due to intersystem interference. The report provides a summary of the work on photovoltaic installations, wireless charging, electric roads, new proposals for military emission standards, interference detection systems to detect and classify interference, interference risks with 6G, spread spectrum technology to reduce interference and compromising emanations. The report is brief and refers further to other documentation.
