Mobility is a key aspect of a military vehicle. This report describes a method of how to assess the mobility of a vehicle using mobility maps. Mobility maps are specific sections of terrain in which the mobility of a vehicle is described. Mobility maps for both a wheeled and tracked vehicle were developed in this report. The vehicles have been modelled for 2,5 x 2,5 meter terrain patches with longitudinal variations and with three different ground conditions. The result show that the proposed method is useful for analysing vehicle mobility but the simplifications in the fidelity of the terrain limits the usefulness severely when the method is used for vehicle manoeuvrability.
