FOI conducts research in several research areas relevant for the technical and methodological development of the Swedish Armed Forces. One such research area is C3 and Human Factors. The research in the area is conducted in separate projects and often by separate groups of people. This makes it a challenge to have a broad overview of the current research. The goal of this report is to provide a broad overview of the projects and research published during 2021-2023 within the area of C3 and Human Factors. The purpose is to support the identification of relevant synergies between projects, publications, and researchers, together with a better understanding of technical maturation to support future C2 support systems. The overview is based on a literature review of open FOI reports and FOI memos. The publications are collated and grouped by the three research subareas: Decision Support Systems, Man-Technology-Organisation, and Robust radio communication. Additional grouping has been done based on the content of each publication to identify synergies between subareas. Based on the overview, four areas of development have been identified as relevant for future generations of LSS Mark.
