Abstract

The research project 'AESA-teknik' has during 2021-01-01 to 2025-12-31 carried out work at various system levels related to competence building and development of our knowledge in the field of phased array antenna based radar systems with a focus on AESA technology. In addition to work with and methodology for simulation of particularly interesting parts from the individual component- and antenna level up to complete AESA radar systems, the project has also developed several radar measurement systems for mobile use on small drones (RPAS). The RPAS-borne SAR measurement system developed within the project is now being further developed in a technology development project financed by FMV. The multi-channel digital radar measurement systems developed in the project will be further developed in a planned continuation project. Participation in a number of national and international projects has made it possible to maintain contact with state-of-the-art research at the academy as well as with relevant industry partners. The project has contributed to development of our knowledge in the field of phased array antennas and has by this given us better means to assist the Swedish Armed Forces. This work was funded by the Swedish Armed Forces R&D programme for Sensors and low observables (FoT SoS, AT.9220420).
