FOI condemns Russian sanctions against one of FOI’s researchers
FOI has received information that one of our colleagues has been sanctioned by Russia, along with seven other EU citizens.

“It is completely unacceptable that Russia has imposed utterly groundless sanctions against researchers who are doing their jobs,” says DG Jens Mattsson. The sanction will also not affect the work of the authority.
The Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI, is the Swedish government authority for applied research and expert support within defence and security. Its most important clients are the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Armed Forces Materiel Administration, as well as the Government Offices, through the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
