Abstract

The purpose of exercise evaluation within the tacticsdomain is to give input to the tactics adaptation process at unit level, but also to tactics development work at higher levels. The work with exercise analysis can be devided into four different phases: preparation phase, realisation phase and distribution phase. To be able to conduct an exercise analysis data and information are required. Data and information can be received from two main types of sources: the Man and the Machine. These two categories can deliver data and information on different formats, for example pictures, questionnaires, position logs and signal messages. As a support the the analysis work there exist a number of computer tools for collection, reconstruction, conversion, analysis and simulation.
